Acceptance of terms

By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these general terms and conditions without reservation. Validation of the order constitutes unrestricted acceptance of these Terms.

Food products comply with current French legislation. Photos are non-contractual. We reserve the right to decline an order in case of product unavailability or production constraints.

Unless otherwise indicated, products are to be consumed cold; some may be served hot. Upon delivery, they must be stored between 0 °C and 4 °C and consumed within 6 hours. If cold storage is not possible, products must be consumed within 2 hours and kept below 20 °C.

Our meals are prepared in a facility where nuts, shellfish, fish, dairy, soy, eggs and cereals are also used. Despite strict hygiene practices, accidental cross-contamination is always possible.

Orders and reservations

An order is confirmed once:

  • It has been confirmed in writing (email or post), with the signed and dated quote marked “Agreed”
  • A deposit of 35% of the total amount has been paid

To ensure quality and freshness, the chef may need to adapt menus based on market availability. Orders must be confirmed 15 days before the event.

Service description

The kitchen must be made available at least 2 hours before the event. It must be clean, with fridge and freezer partially cleared.

The service includes:

  • Meal preparation
  • Table service (upon request)
  • Kitchen cleaning and tidying

The service does not include: crockery hire, table linen, furniture or drinks.

Payment terms

A 35% deposit is required upon confirmation. The balance is due:

  • Individuals: on the day of the event, by cheque or cash
  • Companies: within 30 days by cheque or bank transfer

Restaurant vouchers and service cheques are not accepted. If the service is offered to a third party, full payment is required in advance.

Pricing

Prices are in euros, excluding tax (VAT not applicable, Article 293 B of the French Tax Code). Quotes are indicative and may be adjusted.

Additional charges may include:

  • Staff (maître d’hôtel, waiter, kitchen assistant) depending on guest count
  • Travel costs outside Le Havre: €0.40/km
  • For events with service, 6 hours are included. Beyond that: €40 incl. tax per extra hour

Modifications and cancellations

  • Cancellation does not entitle a refund of the deposit
  • Cancellation less than 10 days before: 100% of the total is invoiced
  • Guest reduction more than 8 days before: proportional reduction
  • Guest reduction less than 8 days before: no reduction possible

Force majeure

In the event of force majeure preventing the service, all sums received will be refunded in full.

Complaints and disputes

All complaints must be made in writing. Complaints regarding perishable goods must be reported within 6 hours of delivery. For hygiene reasons, no food product may be returned or exchanged.

French law applies. In the absence of amicable settlement, disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of the registered office of Eric Heurtel.

Liability and insurance

Eric Heurtel is liable for the services invoiced. He is not responsible for any bodily injury or material damage caused by the client or their guests during the event, nor for alcohol consumption at the venue. The client must hold civil and comprehensive home insurance.
